This is one of the many conversational pieces made in America in the 1920s. It can be considered American Folk Art as it is one of the items made during that period with Americas great fascination that many had towards the art of smoking, and embedded in our history. Now the fascination is in the piece itself. This piece is of a butler stand with a holder for matches, a copper cup for cigarettes, and an ashtray which was replaced by a beautiful marked heavy silver plated French plate. This wonderful butler is painted in black red white and gold. The mark on the back reads Patent Applied For.
